Hi there, I’m Sherry: wife, mama, health nut, and researcher. I believe good contributions for the greater good come from passion. My goal here is to help you improve your mental and physical well being. Well being means physical, and mental health, but it also encompasses having a sense of belonging in community, fulfillment of goals, our sense of purpose and how in control we feel in our lives, as well as the ability to experience and integrate purpose. This is achieved through being connected to our inner self, a higher power, and nature.
My mom was a nurse and perhaps this is why I have a real passion for health and well being. I took all the sciences in college, but my two favorites were anatomy and physiology. I was lucky to have opportunities like working on a cadaver in anatomy and taking part in a study on urine and hydration in physiology. These subjects absolutely fascinate me!
I am often contacted by those asking for advice on a holistic approach to an illness/ailment, seeking more natural remedies, or asking for a healthy recipe (food, household cleaning, or personal care items.) Over the years, as I learn of new things related to my blog topics, I dive in and do the research. Not everyone has the time to be a researcher, so the idea of blogging seemed like a great avenue to share my knowledge and continued research with others.
If you have questions about any topic I have on this blog, or would like to know more about a topic not found here, please let me know!
